Welcome aboard to the experience in Life sciences! Samhitha XI is the national conference on Recent Advancements In Life Sciences (RAILS), organized by BIOTIKOS (Students’ Biotechnology Association at SASTRA UNIVERSITY). Samhitha XI is a conference that is destined to bridge the gap between life science research and innovation and industrialisation or commercialisation of the ideas that are born out of such research. Research in life sciences is now called as biotechnology and hence the staff and students of The School of Chemical and Biotechnology (SCBT) are proud to present this conference and expect it to be a platform for exchange of ideas and amelioration of the same. Ideas provoke research and researches must provoke commercialization to benefit the whole world. Samhitha XI will hence kindle the minds of young scientists and students to engage themselves actively in this pursuit.
The major themes of Samhitha XI are Bioremediation and Environmental Engineering, Herbal Systems
of Medicine, Food Technology and Food Microbiology, Marine Biotechnology, Bio- Pharmaceuticals, Bio-Pesticides and Bio-fertilisers and Agricultural Biotechnology. Eminent scientists from all the corners of the country have consented to be a part of this two day technical extravaganza and bless us all with their priceless research knowledge. For the first time in Indian History, this is a conference that also invites participants from Schools and Junior Colleges, teachers and industrialists.
