Deus Ex Machina 8 -A National Level Technical Symposium organised by the department of Mechanical engineering , Velammal Engineering College has entered its eigth year of innovation and constant improvement.
We cordially invite the students to participate in the 8th edition of deus ex machina-god of machines.
Deus ex machina 8 is intended to provide a platform to bring together mechanical engineers from all over india to discuss ideas, the practical challenges encountered and the solutions which needs to be adopted. Deus ex machina 8 offers an interesting cocktail of events sprinkled with few surprise events. Deus ex machina 8 is all set to emulate its former edition and set a benchmark for the forthcoming ones.

BOTIX is a 2 day hands-on workshop that focuses on introducing participants to the world of robotics. Split over 4 sessions participants are introduced to various concepts of robotics in each session and practically implement these concepts towards the end of each session. The sessions are designed to be concise to give participants more time for practical implementation. During the course of the workshop participants learn to build different types of robots including line following bots, obstacle avoiding bots & edge avoiding bots.
