We here at the Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (JGEC) proudly affirm to align ourselves with the changing times; and organize Sristi '11, The Annual Techno-Management Festival as an exemplar to showcase our presence in the world of technology. This exclusive annual tech fiesta aims at sparking a flash into the torch of innovation and carry it forward igniting the mind of its bearers.

"Sristi", is a word that brings along many vibrations of the universe. Vibrations that pulsate the mind, nurturing innovation. Vibrations of massive creations. Creations that put down the foundation of advancement and lay the seeds of humanity. In Sristi... conceals the past, the history. In Sristi... germinates and sprouts up the future, the mystery. Handing over the present, the gift. Sristi is the greatest boon bestowed on mankind.

Sristi '11 calls upon budding engineers, technocrats, innovators and technologists to come and join the brigade of competing young minds.

Gaming (4 events) - Counter-Strike 1.6, NFS Most Wanted FIFA 08 and Age of Empires II.
Junkyard Wars - Grease Monkeyz.
Designing - CADathlon.
Quiz - Tech Quiz.

Workshops:
AeroModelling
A workshop that teaches right from the very basics of aerodynamics to advanced engineering in AeroModelling.

Autonomous Robotics
A workshop aiming to provide a platform for learning the basics to advanced features in autonomous robotics.

Ethical Hacking
This workshop discusses about the ethics and techniques of network, email, Google hacking, and a lot more.

Web-designing
Learn right from the beginning of web development to successfully creating and launching websites on the internet

Scholarship For Students Studying Diploma

               K.C. Mahindra Education Trust, Mumbai, invites applications for Mahindra All India Talent Scholarships from students who have passed Std. X or 5td. Xil and have secured admissions this year in Government or recognised polytechnics for Diploma courses. Preference will be given to girl students, children from lower income group families, disabled children and children of armed forces personnel.


                  Scholarships of Rs. 5,000/- per year for a maximum period of 3 academic years will be awarded to selected students, to enable them to pursue diploma courses, for which they have secured admissions.


                  Students can apply at the address given below for an Application Form. Along with the application, students should send a self-addressed envelope. This should reach us before July 15th, 2011.


                Application Form will then be sent to eligible students, which duly filled in by the applicants, along with the necessary enclosures must reach the centre given below before July 30th, 2011. The interview date and venue will be intimated to the selected applicants well in advance.The cost of travel, to a certain extent will be paid to them.

           “Generating Ideas of ASEAN Youth to Transform ASEAN into Stable, Prosperous, and Highly Competitive Region through ASEAN Economic Community”

            The main theme of this economix competition is Generating Ideas of ASEAN Youth to Transform ASEAN into Stable, Prosperous, and Highly Competitive Region through ASEAN Economic Community. Therefore, this competition heavily discusses on the knowledge of ASEAN Economic Community.


             This competition is opened for the undergraduate students from all South East Asia universities and other countries. This competition is conducted in English. For everyone who wants to participate in economix Competition, he/she must form a team which is consisted of two persons per team. One person is not allowed to be member of two teams or more. Each team must register themselves to the economix Committee by sending e-mail and attaching Registration Form which has been downloaded from official website of economix.


             This Registration Form must be filled by each team. The board of adjudicators is consisted of national academicians, economists, and practitioners. The economix Committee divides the competition into three stages.

           The economix Committee will select twenty (20) essays for the competition. The Committee will then invite these twenty (20) teams to present their essays in the 9theconomix Competition at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia. These twenty teams will follow the second and third stage of competition. The economix Committee is looking forward to receiving your creative essays.
